Porwanie Europy/Rape of Europe

Sam budynek kościoła to niestety nic specjalnego.

Today we leased for tomorrow’s trip an off-road car for EUR 35 plus we bought some petrol for more than EUR 20;) The car is a little bit old and drives all the time left but… We finally managed to indentify where the famous mosaics “Rape of Europe” is located – these are so called Western Archeological Sites, we simply skipped it somehow when we were there for the first time. Additionally on Sunday we managed to see the middle part of the archeological sites – it was not guarded so we saved EUR 3 per capita:) In this part of the site there are remains of walls of the city and early Christian basilica with several columns. Close to the Odeon there is a Catholic Church, the mass is at 11 and 18 on Saturdays, on weekdays at 18. The building itself is nothing special, unfortunately.

I had a big plate of lamb chops for dinner, quite good, salty and with a lot of herbs. I prepare similar at home but due to our climate, a little bit less salty:) In the evening we had a trip along the seashore from Tigaki to Marmari to see the salt lake ALIKI. We managed to see it only from the car’s window as the access is protected by many fields. The area is rather agricultural but there are also some big resorts, totally not in my style. There is however a bus connection with the city so if somebody likes to lie al the day by the pool and going in the evening to the town, it is good localization.
