Puerto de la Cruz is full of surprises. First of all, you should not take a short cut, as sooner or later you will face a barranco, gorge crossing the town, through which you cannot really go across. Secondly, the weather is changing all the time, mornings may be cloudy and than it starts to be incredibly warm. The day starts at 8, earlier it is dark.

Ermita San Telmo

Franciszka i Ermitę San Juan – najstarszy budynek w mieście z XVI wieku.

One of the oldest buildings is a church of Nuestra Senora de la Pena di Francia. For me, it is very Spanish – figurines of the saints, wooden, uncommon vault. We visited also a church of Saint Francesco and Ermita San Juan – the oldest building in the town, coming from XVI century.

Plaże w Puerto de la Cruz są czarne ze względu na wulkaniczny charakter, można się przyzwyczaić/Beaches in Puerto de la Cruz are dark, due to their volcanic provenance - you can get use to it
Niesamowita aleja palm/Incredible palm street
Nadmorska miejscowość, więc i rzeźby na deptaku oddają charakter miasta:)
It's a seaside resort so the sculptures on the promenade also have such a character:)

Poza mną część miasta, gdzie rozgrywała się jedna z powieści Christie
Behind me a part of the town where one of the novels of Christie occured.
Mimo charakteru wybitnie miejskiego, co i rusz można natknąć się na uprawy bananów (tzw. bananery - podoba mi się ta nazwa) - Depite the character of a town - you can easily find a banana cultivations - bananera - I like this word).

  2. a very interesting town, I am not sure palm trees are my favorite kind of tree, unless there are lots of them together in a grove, not in a single line. A very nice photo of you with the white look out with the telescope, did you look through it? Was it pointing to the sea? I bet it would be beautiful at night.

    Thanks for the tour.
